Norwegian Cruise Line: NCL Spa Menu and Prices (2026)

Norwegian Cruise Line NCL Pearl Mandara Spa Entrance

Norwegian Cruise Line’s Mandara Spa is one of the most extensive wellness programs offered by a mainstream cruise line. Because of this, many cruisers look for Norwegian’s spa menu and prices before sailing to decide which treatments are worth the splurge.

Available across the entire fleet, NCL’s Mandara Spa offers much more than traditional massages and facials. You can also splurge on thermal suites, medi-spa treatments, acupuncture, salon services, fitness centers, IV therapy, barber services, and wellness programs.

Not to mention, the adults-only Thermal Suite is one of the biggest highlights of Norwegian Cruise Line‘s spa experience.

Norwegian Viva Thermal Spa Beds

Depending on the ship, guests can find amenities such as heated loungers, vitality pools, hydrotherapy areas, saunas, steam rooms, salt rooms, cold therapy experiences, snow rooms, and dedicated relaxation lounges overlooking the ocean.

Facilities vary by ship, with newer vessels generally offering larger and more elaborate spa complexes.

In addition, Norwegian has continued expanding its wellness offerings in recent years, including allowing guests to reserve Thermal Suite passes and spa treatments before sailing. The cruise line has also earned recognition from the World Spa Awards, which named NCL’s Mandara Spa the “World’s Best Cruise Spa.”

Norwegian Cruise Line Spa Menu and Prices

In my opinion, Norwegian offers some of the best spa facilities among mainstream cruise lines. I’d argue that Norwegian has a significantly better spa experience compared with competitors like Royal Caribbean and Carnival Cruise Line.

I first tried the thermal suite while sailing aboard Norwegian Dawn during our Africa cruise, and I’ve continued seeking out the experience on later sailings. I’ve also toured Norwegian Viva’s impressive spa complex, which showcases just how elevated and modern these spaces have become.

Norwegian Cruise Line Spa Menu and Prices

This guide covers the latest NCL spa menu and prices, including massage costs, salon services, thermal spa pricing, hair care, nail services, and wellness treatments available through Mandara Spa.

Prices were collected during our May 2026 sailing aboard Norwegian Pearl. Pricing and services may vary by ship, itinerary, and sailing date.

How much is NCL’s thermal spa?

Norwegian Dawn Thermal Spa Pool

Thermal suite pricing varies by ship, itinerary length, demand, and when you purchase your pass. In some cases, guests may find lower pricing after embarkation day, particularly if they don’t plan to use the thermal area immediately.

Day passes are also commonly available if you aren’t ready to commit to a full-cruise package.

Norwegian Jade Thermal Spa Pass Card

Example pricing seen onboard:

  • Full sailing thermal suite pass – around $250 per person for a 7-night sailing
  • One-day pass – around $69 per person
  • Two-day pass – around $109 per person

Prices can vary significantly by ship and sailing, especially on newer vessels with larger thermal complexes such as Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva.

Which NCL ships have a thermal spa?

Norwegian Cruise Line Thermal Spa Beds

Nearly every Norwegian Cruise Line ship offers some version of the adults-only Thermal Suite, although the size, layout, and amenities vary considerably across the fleet.

Newer ships, including Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna, feature some of the line’s most impressive wellness spaces with expanded hydrotherapy areas, panoramic ocean views, modern relaxation lounges, and upgraded thermal experiences. These ships showcase how much Norwegian has invested in elevating its spa offerings in recent years.

Norwegian Jade Thermal Spa

Jewel-class ships such as Norwegian Jade, Pearl, Gem, and Jewel typically offer smaller thermal suites. However, these areas can still provide relaxing spaces with features like heated loungers, saunas, steam rooms, and hydrotherapy areas.

Meanwhile, Breakaway and Breakaway Plus ships generally fall somewhere in the middle, offering larger spa complexes with additional amenities and dedicated thermal spaces.

Norwegian Dawn Thermal Spa Heated Loungers

Pride of America is the biggest exception in the fleet. Because the ship operates exclusively in Hawaii, the onboard spa experience differs from many other Norwegian vessels and does not offer the same style of Thermal Suite found on much of the fleet.

No matter which ship you choose, it’s worth remembering that every thermal spa experience is slightly different. Amenities can include vitality pools, salt rooms, steam rooms, saunas, cold therapy areas, snow rooms, heated loungers, and ocean-view relaxation spaces, although availability depends on the specific ship.

If you’re unsure whether the Thermal Suite is worth it, ask for a tour of your ship’s spa before purchasing a pass. Since every Norwegian ship offers a slightly different setup, seeing the space in person can help you decide whether the amenities justify the cost.
