Anthem of the Seas balcony room tour and review

Standard Balcony Cabin on Anthem of the Seas

I just returned from an amazing 12-night repositioning cruise on Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas. My family of four stayed in two connecting balcony cabins, 11268 and 11266.

My sister and I paid $5,776.16 for our cruise from Singapore to Japan. This equates to around $240 per person, per night. While this is on the pricier side, I’d say it was worth it for the unique itinerary. I also really enjoyed our beautiful balcony cabin!

Our connecting balcony cabins were both 198 square feet with a 55-square-foot balcony.

Both cabins included a Royal King bed that could convert to two twin-size beds, which is what my sister and I opted for. Above the bed were two deep drawers for added storage.

Next to my bed was a closet with five shelves for clothes, a safe, and a section to hang longer items like dresses or tops. I used this closet for most of my belongings, and it worked really well.

On the other side of my bed was a small nightstand with a drawer and open storage underneath. We ended up pushing our two nightstands together to make one larger one. There was also a phone for calling room service, guest services, or other cabins.

Each bed had a small reading light above it, which came in handy at bedtime. My sister’s side also had an outlet under the light. My side did not have an outlet, but that was fine with me.

Opposite the bed was a flat-screen TV mounted on the wall, along with some storage below. We hardly ever turned on the TV during our vacation!

Across from the couch (which could not convert into a bed) was a large dresser, a mini fridge, and a vanity. The vanity had multiple outlets and USB ports, which made charging all of our devices super convenient.

The bathroom was compact, but I felt that the shower was quite spacious. The bathroom had three shelves for toiletries, along with some space below the sink. We also used our hanging toiletry bags to keep the bathroom organized and not too cluttered.

Now, onto my favorite part, the balcony! Our balcony was the perfect size for two chairs and a small table. This really made the cabin feel like a peaceful escape. A highlight was watching the light show at night in Hong Kong from our balcony.

Having connecting rooms made a huge difference for our family of four. We could easily move between cabins without going into the hallway, and the extra space was much appreciated. With the connecting door open, it almost felt like a mini suite.

With my noisy dad next door, I was happy that I did not hear him snoring at night! Of course, I wear earplugs, so that helps. But overall, I found the noise to be low in our cabin, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book another connecting cabin.

I was very pleased with many aspects of our balcony cabin. There was a lot of storage, the beds were comfortable, the walls were pretty soundproof, and the balcony was awesome.

If you’re on the fence about splurging for a balcony on Anthem of the Seas, I’d say go for it!
