Perfect Day Mexico is Royal Caribbean’s newest private destination located near Mahahual, Mexico, in Costa Maya. It’s set to open in the Fall of 2027.

Like its Bahamian counterpart, Perfect Day at CocoCay, this new location promises to make it a highlight of Western Caribbean itineraries.

Spanning over 200 acres, this expansive retreat is designed to offer guests a blend of thrill, relaxation, and cultural immersion. Royal Caribbean is building upon the success of Perfect Day at CocoCay.

Although Royal Caribbean has yet to release a full list of amenities, early announcements suggest that Perfect Day Mexico will blend exciting activities with an authentic Mexican charm.

Loco Waterpark: Home to record-breaking attractions

At the heart lies the Loco Waterpark, featuring 30 waterslides. One of them includes the world’s longest coaster waterslide, Jaguar’s Peak. Standing over 170 feet tall and offering a ride lasting more than two minutes. This makes it the tallest waterslide tower in the Americas.

Additionally, the park introduces the world’s first sombrero-shaped waterslide, inspired by Mexico’s iconic headwear.

Splash Cove: The ultimate lazy river experience

Splash Cove, the central neighborhood of the private destination, boasts the world’s longest lazy river that’s over an hour long! Guests can enjoy float-up bars along the river, enhancing the leisurely experience.

Fiesta Plaza: A celebration of Mexican culture

Perfect Day Mexico Sombrero Tower

Fiesta Plaza serves as the cultural hub of Perfect Day Mexico. It features the world’s largest sombrero atop the Tipsy Sombrero Bar. The area will showcase art installations, Mariachi performances, and local artisans, offering guests an authentic taste of Mexican heritage

Amenities, dining options, and more

Perfect Day Mexico will offer nearly two miles of white sand beaches, six swim-up bars, 24 bars, and 12 dining outlets inspired by regional cuisine. Nearly all food spots will be complimentary.

Another unique aspect of Perfect Day Mexico will be the emphasis on authentic Mexican culture. Expect to find art installations, craft markets, and performances by regional artists.

An adults-only zone, El Hideaway, will include a swim-up bar and an in-pool DJ, providing a vibrant atmosphere for relaxation. There will also be an exclusive Costa Beach Club that’ll offer a premium beach day experience.

Perfect Day Mexico and its integration into Royal Caribbean’s itineraries

Perfect Day Mexico is set to become a key feature in Western Caribbean itineraries. It will bring Royal Caribbean ships from Galveston, New Orleans, and all Florida homeports.

Itineraries will become available for booking this fall.

Perfect Day Mexico’s development is part of Royal Caribbean’s broader expansion of land-based offerings. These include upcoming destinations like Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in the Bahamas, Royal Beach Club Cozumel in Mexico, and Lelepa in the South Pacific.
