Celebrity Cruises has unveiled its 2028 and 2029 itineraries, with the cruise line planning its largest Northern Europe program ever, new ports of call, expanded seasons in bucket-list destinations, and new onboard experiences.
The newly announced deployment will take Celebrity Cruises across all seven continents, with itineraries planned throughout Europe, Alaska, Hawaii, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, South America, Antarctica, Bermuda, Canada, and New England.
Before diving into the details, here’s a quick overview of where each Celebrity Cruises ship will sail during the 2028-2029 season.

Europe will see one of the biggest expansions. For the first time, four Edge Series ships will sail in the region during the same season: Celebrity Beyond, Celebrity Xcel, Celebrity Ascent, and Celebrity Apex.
Celebrity Beyond will return to Europe for the first time since 2023 following its 2026 renewal, complete with new dining and poolside experiences. Celebrity Apex will make the cruise line’s first-ever visit to Galway, Ireland, while Celebrity Constellation and Celebrity Infinity will return to Bari, Italy, for the first time in more than a decade.
Other notable additions include Celebrity Equinox sailing to Alaska for the first time, new round-trip Hawaii cruises from Los Angeles, Celebrity Solstice’s first full season in Japan, and an extended South America season that will bring Celebrity Equinox back to Antarctica.

Four Edge Series ships will sail in Europe for the first time
Celebrity Cruises is billing its 2028 European deployment as its most extensive yet, particularly in Northern Europe.
For the first time, four of the cruise line’s Edge Series ships will spend the season in Europe: Celebrity Beyond, Celebrity Xcel, Celebrity Ascent, and Celebrity Apex.
Celebrity Beyond is returning to Europe for the first time since 2023 following a renewal planned for 2026. The ship’s refreshed experience will include a new Mediterranean restaurant called Bora, which will offer al fresco dining, along with the new Celebrity Pool Club.
The elevated outdoor pool area will feature two new food and beverage concepts, Orange Peel Bar & Grille and Tacos del Sol. These additions are scheduled to debut on Celebrity Beyond in November 2026.
Once back in Europe, Celebrity Beyond will operate seven- to 14-night cruises from Southampton to destinations throughout Norway, Iceland, and Scandinavia.
Some of the most ambitious itineraries will be 14-night cruises combining Iceland with the Norwegian fjords.
These sailings will first visit Reykjavik, Isafjordur, Akureyri, and Seydisfjordur in Iceland before continuing through Norway, with calls in Geiranger, Alesund, Flam, Nordfjordeid, and Bergen.
Travelers looking to focus entirely on Iceland will have another option aboard Celebrity Summit, which will offer round-trip sailings from Reykjavik.
Celebrity Apex will make the cruise line’s first-ever visit to Galway
Celebrity Apex will also have a significant presence in Northern Europe, including 12-night cruises throughout Scandinavia.
These itineraries will visit Oslo, Norway; Skagen, Denmark; Stockholm, Sweden; Tallinn, Estonia; Helsinki, Finland; and Copenhagen, Denmark.
Celebrity is also introducing new 12-night British Isles itineraries aboard Apex. The cruises will visit Scotland, Ireland, and England and include a notable first for the cruise line: Galway, Ireland. This will mark Celebrity Cruises’ first-ever visit to the Irish city.
The combination of Celebrity Beyond and Apex’s expanded itineraries, along with four Edge Series ships in the region overall, will give Celebrity its largest Northern Europe program to date.
Celebrity is expanding in the Mediterranean
Northern Europe isn’t the only focus of Celebrity’s expanded European deployment.
Celebrity Xcel, Celebrity Ascent, and Celebrity Eclipse will offer seven- to 11-night Mediterranean cruises visiting destinations across Italy, France, Spain, Morocco, Portugal, Greece, and Turkey.
Celebrity Constellation will operate 10- and 11-night itineraries focused on Italy and Croatia. These cruises will include another notable return for Celebrity: Bari, Italy.
Celebrity Constellation and Celebrity Infinity will visit Bari during the season, marking Celebrity Cruises’ first calls to the southern Italian destination since 2014.
Celebrity Infinity will return to Egypt with overnight stays
Celebrity Infinity will continue operating in Europe year-round, including the return of another destination that has been absent from Celebrity’s schedule in recent years.
Celebrity will sail to Egypt for the first time since 2023, with Celebrity Infinity itineraries featuring overnight visits to Alexandria. The overnight calls will give travelers more time to explore Egypt compared to a traditional single-day port visit.
Celebrity Infinity will also operate shoulder-season cruises from Athens that visit Santorini, Kavala, Rhodes, Mykonos, and Ephesus. Sailing during the shoulder season could allow passengers to experience some of the region’s most famous destinations outside the busiest summer travel period.
During the European off-season, Celebrity Infinity will sail from Barcelona in search of warmer weather, with cruises to the Canary Islands, Portugal, and Morocco.
Combined with its expanded Northern Europe and Mediterranean programs, Celebrity says the deployment will represent its most extensive European season yet.
Celebrity Equinox will sail in Alaska for the first time
Celebrity is also making changes to its Alaska deployment in 2028. Three Celebrity ships will sail in the region, including Celebrity Equinox, which will make its Alaska debut.
Celebrity Equinox will operate seven-night open-jaw itineraries between Vancouver, British Columbia, and Seward, Alaska. Passengers sailing aboard Equinox will also have the option to extend their Alaska vacation beyond the ship with one of Celebrity’s land-based Cruisetours.
The guided extensions will feature stays in lodges and journeys along Alaska’s remote roads and railways, with stops in Anchorage, Talkeetna, and Denali. Celebrity says the Cruisetours will be led by guides with local ties to the region.
Celebrity Edge will return for its fifth Alaska season in 2028. Its outward-facing design, including the large Magic Carpet platform along the side of the ship, was designed to connect passengers more closely with the scenery outside.
Celebrity Millennium will round out the three-ship Alaska deployment with round-trip cruises from Vancouver.
Across the season, travelers will have opportunities to experience Alaska’s glaciers, snow-covered mountains, coastal towns, wildlife, and local cultures.
Celebrity Equinox will also sail round-trip to Hawaii from Los Angeles
Celebrity Equinox isn’t only getting a new destination in Alaska.
Celebrity will introduce new round-trip Hawaii sailings from Los Angeles aboard the ship, giving travelers another way to reach the islands without flying to Hawaii to begin their cruise.
The voyages will showcase Hawaii’s rainforests, tropical landscapes, flowers, and sandy beaches before returning to Los Angeles.
Celebrity Edge and Celebrity Solstice will return to Australia and New Zealand
Australia and New Zealand will remain an important part of Celebrity’s Pacific deployment.
Celebrity Edge and Celebrity Solstice will operate 23 sailings departing from Sydney, Australia, and Auckland, New Zealand. The itineraries will range from four-night getaways to longer 14-night voyages.
Passengers will be able to experience a mix of Australia’s wine regions and major cities along with New Zealand’s dramatic landscapes and famous fjords.
Celebrity Solstice will also operate South Pacific cruises visiting destinations including Tauranga, New Zealand; Lifou in the Loyalty Islands; and Mystery Island, Vanuatu.
The renewed Celebrity Solstice will sail its first full season in Japan
Japan will see another significant expansion in 2028. Celebrity Solstice will spend a full season in the region for the first time, sailing from April through October 2028.
It will also mark the first full Japan season for one of Celebrity’s Solstice Series ships. Like Celebrity Beyond, Celebrity Solstice will arrive following a renewal of its own.
The renewed ship will give travelers opportunities to experience Tokyo, view Mt. Fuji, and spend more time ashore through overnight calls in destinations including Kyoto and Aomori.
Celebrity has also aligned parts of the schedule with some of Japan’s major cultural celebrations, including Golden Week and Kyoto’s Gion Matsuri.
Celebrity Millennium will complement Solstice’s deployment with spring and fall cruises.
Depending on the sailing, travelers could experience Japan during its famous cherry blossom season, Hibiscus season, or koyo, when the country’s autumn leaves turn vibrant shades of red, orange, and yellow.
Okinawa will receive substantially more Celebrity visits as well. Across Celebrity Solstice and Celebrity Millennium, the cruise line plans 17 calls to the tropical Japanese destination.
Celebrity will offer more overnight stays in Southeast Asia
After the Japan season, Celebrity Solstice and Celebrity Millennium will operate winter itineraries through Southeast Asia.
Destinations will include Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and China, with Celebrity incorporating numerous overnight visits into the deployment. Overnight destinations will include Bangkok and Phuket, Thailand; Benoa, Bali, Indonesia; Hanoi, Vietnam; Hong Kong, China; and Penang, Malaysia.
The extended visits will give passengers more opportunities to experience these destinations beyond a typical day in port.
In Thailand, for example, travelers can visit night markets and experience the cities’ nightlife. In Hanoi, Celebrity highlights the opportunity to watch the sunset over the region’s limestone cliffs.
Celebrity Millennium will also spend a particularly notable night in Hong Kong. The ship will stay overnight in the city on New Year’s Eve, allowing passengers to watch Hong Kong’s famous fireworks as they ring in 2029.
Celebrity Equinox will return to Antarctica
Celebrity Equinox’s 2028 deployment will eventually take the ship from Alaska to one of the most remote regions in the world.
Celebrity is extending its South America cruise season and returning to Antarctica, with Equinox operating 12- to 16-night itineraries spanning five countries. The cruises will combine destinations throughout South America with scenic landscapes and wildlife experiences, from the Chilean fjords and Patagonia to Antarctica.
Celebrity is also highlighting Iguazu Falls, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as one of the major bucket-list attractions guests can experience during the season. In Patagonia, travelers can visit penguin colonies, hike through forests, or go whale watching.
Food will also be part of the destination experience, with opportunities to sample Patagonian barbecue, Chilean seafood and ceviche, and Uruguayan dulce de leche.
Overnight stays in Valparaiso, Chile, and Buenos Aires, Argentina, will give passengers more time to explore two of South America’s major cities. At Cape Horn, where the Atlantic and Pacific oceans meet, passengers will travel through one of the world’s most famous maritime regions.
Sailings will also pass glaciers and wildlife around Tierra del Fuego National Park at the southern tip of the South American mainland.
One of the season’s highlighted voyages will be a 16-night holiday cruise to Antarctica, giving passengers the opportunity to ring in the new year while sailing in the region.
Celebrity Summit will offer overnight stays in Bermuda
Celebrity Summit will spend part of 2028 sailing from the U.S. East Coast. Beginning in May, the ship will offer seven-night cruises from Cape Liberty, New Jersey, to Bermuda.
Rather than spending only a day on the island, the itineraries will include two overnight stays.
That will give passengers additional time for activities such as scuba diving, golf, visiting art galleries, and exploring Bermuda’s famous pink-sand beaches.
Celebrity Summit will head north for fall foliage season
In September and October 2028, Celebrity Summit will reposition to Boston for 12-night Canada and New England cruises.
The itineraries are timed for the region’s fall season, when changing foliage becomes one of the major attractions along the coast. Passengers will visit destinations known for lighthouses, fishing villages, coastal scenery, and fall colors. The itineraries will also feature an overnight call in Quebec City.
The longer stay will give passengers a chance to explore Old Quebec after dark, when the historic district’s cobblestone streets are illuminated and many day visitors have departed.
Celebrity’s new itineraries will go on sale throughout August and September
Celebrity is opening its newly announced 2028 and 2029 itineraries for booking in phases rather than all at once.
- Summer 2028 Japan cruises are already available to book.
- Europe, Bermuda, Canada, and New England itineraries will go on sale on August 25, 2026.
- Alaska, Hawaii, and South America cruises will follow on September 1, 2026.
- Australia and winter 2028-2029 Asia cruises will become available on September 29, 2026.
- Celebrity’s Caribbean deployment and 2029 Galapagos itineraries will be released at a later date.
The massive deployment gives Celebrity a particularly strong presence in Europe while expanding the cruise line’s reach in several bucket-list regions.
