Celebrity Beyond is getting a refresh later this year, and Celebrity Cruises has now given cruisers their first look at several new spaces coming to the popular Edge Series ship. The cruise line confirmed Celebrity Beyond will debut multiple new food, drink and outdoor experiences following its scheduled dry dock in November 2026.
The upgrades include a revamped pool area called the Celebrity Pool Club, two new poolside concepts called Orange Peel Bar & Grille and Tacos del Sol, and a new Mediterranean restaurant called Bora.
Celebrity recently shared new renderings on social media, giving cruisers a first look at what these new spaces will look like onboard.
Although Celebrity Beyond only entered service in 2022, the upcoming dry dock will be quite extensive. In addition to the guest-facing enhancements, the ship has been dealing with technical issues that have limited its sailing speed since last summer.
Celebrity Beyond will enter dry dock in November 2026

Celebrity Cruises confirmed the new venues will debut aboard Celebrity Beyond in November 2026 as part of the ship’s upcoming renewal. The cruise line revealed the upgrades while announcing the ship’s 2028 and 2029 itineraries, which will eventually see Celebrity Beyond return to Europe for the first time since 2023.
Celebrity Beyond is the third ship in Celebrity’s Edge Series, following Celebrity Edge and Celebrity Apex. The ship debuted in November 2022 and is currently one of the newest vessels in the Celebrity fleet.
Unlike a complete ship overhaul, the November renewal appears focused on adding and refreshing select spaces, particularly around the outdoor pool deck. Celebrity’s newly released renderings suggest the area will take on a noticeably warmer and more relaxed atmosphere.
Celebrity Pool Club will transform the pool deck

One of the biggest changes coming to Celebrity Beyond is the Celebrity Pool Club, which Celebrity describes as an “elevated poolside experience.”
Celebrity’s renderings show a bright, resort-like atmosphere with warm orange and terracotta tones, patterned flooring, lush greenery and large retro-inspired umbrellas. Neutral furniture and natural textures soften the space, while the overall design feels more like a stylish Mediterranean beach club than a traditional cruise ship pool deck.
It is also a noticeable departure from the cooler, contemporary aesthetic currently found across much of the Edge Series. Based on the renderings, Celebrity will be removing the built-in booths near the pool bar to offer more shaded seating.

Celebrity Cruises has described its new “Pool Club” concept as a premium, upgraded pool-deck experience. The cruise line has emphasized enhanced comfort and service, including additional shade, plush seating, pool valets and private cabanas.
The additional shade will be a welcome change for many Edge-class fans, as the cruise line has gradually added more umbrellas to provide much-needed relief from the sun.
Guests can also enjoy live music, games, specialty drinks, poolside dining and evening parties. Celebrity Cruises has called the Pool Club the “happiest pool day yet,” promising that “it’s never just another day at the pool.”
Orange Peel Bar & Grille brings a new poolside hangout

The Pool Club’s new Orange Peel Bar & Grille will combine an outdoor bar with casual dining just steps from the pool. Based on Celebrity’s renderings, Orange Peel appears to be one of the focal points of the redesigned deck.
The bar is shown beneath one of Celebrity Beyond’s distinctive geometric architectural features, which is illuminated in warm pink and orange tones after sunset. Bar seating wraps around the venue, while surrounding tables and lounge areas create additional places to sit with a drink.

In a previous press release, Celebrity described Orange Peel Bar & Grille as “a poolside experience with a menu built for sun-soaked days.” The venue will serve smashburgers and other grilled favorites alongside frozen cocktails, with service available both at nearby seating and around the pool.
Currently, Celebrity Beyond’s pool bar is fairly basic and unmemorable, so the addition of Orange Peel Bar & Grille should elevate the space. Renderings show a thoughtfully themed and inviting venue with decor that aligns with the elevated design of Celebrity Beyond’s popular Sunset Bar.
Based on the renderings, Orange Peel Bar & Grille appears likely to replace the Mast Grill, which currently serves basic poolside fare such as burgers, hot dogs and fries. The new venue would bring a more distinctive concept and expanded menu to the space.
Tacos del Sol adds another casual dining option

Passengers will also find a new dining concept called Tacos del Sol at the Celebrity Pool Club.
Celebrity’s rendering shows the new taco venue as a casual counter-service restaurant with covered seating nearby. The design continues the warm aesthetic of the surrounding pool area with wood finishes, curved architectural details and earthy tones.
Tacos del Sol will bring a casual, open-air dining experience to the pool deck, serving bold, Mexican-inspired flavors in a relaxed setting. Guests will be able to customize their meals at a build-your-own taco stand, choosing from a variety of fillings and fresh toppings for an easy poolside lunch or snack.
Having more poolside dining should hopefully reduce the congestion at the nearby Oceanview Cafe, which can get congested during peak meal times. Both Tacos del Sol and Orange Peel Bar & Grille are scheduled to debut on Celebrity Beyond in November.
Bora will bring Mediterranean dining outdoors

Another major addition is Bora, a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant offering al fresco dining in the Rooftop Garden, where it will replace the current Rooftop Garden Grill.
Celebrity describes Bora as a rooftop concept that transforms from a lively daytime brunch spot into a more intimate restaurant at night. During the day, guests can expect Mediterranean-inspired dishes, brunch favorites and customizable Bloody Marys with elaborate garnishes. In the evening, the atmosphere becomes more romantic, with shareable plates, tableside preparations and music inspired by the Mediterranean.
We’re big fans of the Rooftop Garden Grill (in fact, it’s one of our favorite restaurants on Celebrity Beyond), so we’ll be sorry to see it go. However, there’s no denying that the restaurant often operates well below capacity. Bora could bring new energy to the space while preserving the open-air setting and ocean views that make it so appealing.
The upgrades arrive before Celebrity Beyond returns to Europe

Celebrity Beyond’s renewal also comes ahead of a major change in deployment. The ship will return to Europe for the first time since 2023 as part of Celebrity Cruises’ newly announced 2028 and 2029 deployment.
Celebrity Beyond will join Celebrity Xcel, Celebrity Ascent and Celebrity Apex in Europe, marking the first time Celebrity has deployed four Edge Series ships to the region at once. During her summer season, Celebrity Beyond will sail 7- to 14-night cruises from Southampton to destinations across Norway, Iceland and Scandinavia.

One of the most impressive options will be a 14-night itinerary combining Iceland and the Norwegian fjords. The voyage is scheduled to visit Reykjavik, Isafjordur, Akureyri and Seydisfjordur in Iceland before continuing to Geiranger, Alesund, Flam, Nordfjordeid and Bergen in Norway.
The deployment will also represent Celebrity’s most extensive Northern Europe program to date. By then, passengers sailing aboard Beyond will experience the ship with its new Celebrity Pool Club, Orange Peel Bar & Grille, Tacos del Sol and Bora already in place.
Celebrity Beyond’s dry dock could also address its ongoing technical issues

The November dry dock is important for another reason. Celebrity Beyond has been operating under speed restrictions following technical problems that disrupted its Caribbean itineraries beginning in summer 2025.
In July 2025, Celebrity Beyond experienced a technical issue that affected the ship’s speed and delayed its return to Miami. Celebrity initially postponed the following voyage, but ultimately cancelled the entire July 20 sailing when additional repair time was needed.
Celebrity Beyond subsequently underwent emergency repairs in Freeport, Bahamas, and returned to service. However, the problem was not completely resolved.

The ship continued operating at a reduced sailing speed, forcing Celebrity to adjust numerous itineraries. Changes included shortened port calls, revised arrival and departure times and, on some sailings, changes to the order or selection of ports. Adjustments extended into 2026.
Passengers onboard also reported being told that a full repair could not be completed until Celebrity Beyond’s scheduled dry dock in November 2026.

Celebrity Cruises has not publicly detailed the exact technical work that will be performed during the dry dock or explicitly confirmed the scope of propulsion repairs. However, the November maintenance period has long been anticipated as the opportunity for more extensive work following the ship’s speed-related problems.
