Local’s spotlight: The best Destin brunch spots for 2025

Best Destin Brunch Spots for 2025

We have a fantastic food scene in the Florida Panhandle. As a local to the area, brunch has become one of my favorite weekend rituals. If you’re looking for the best Destin brunch spots, you’ve come to the right place.

Whether we’re entertaining out-of-town guests or just treating ourselves after a morning at the beach, these are my go-to brunch spots in Destin for 2025. Each one brings something different to the table – literally! I’ve included a mix of long-time favorite Destin restaurants and exciting new finds that are worth adding to your vacation itinerary.

Big Bad Breakfast

Homemade, flavorful entrees with friendly service.

Big Bad Breakfast Breakfast Sandwich with Homemade Jam

A newer favorite of ours, Big Bad Breakfast (BBB) lives up to the hype. Everything on the menu is homemade with a Southern flair, from the assortment of jams to the fluffy biscuits—and it shows in the flavor.

The chef describes the buttermilk pancakes as “sweet and tangy” with a hint of vanilla. These fluffy pancakes are some of the best we’ve had in Destin!

My husband and I also love their breakfast biscuit sandwich, made with brown sugar bacon on a freshly-made biscuit. With multiple locations along the Gulf Coast, the Destin location still manages to feel like a neighborhood gem. Expect a crowd on weekends, as it’s one of the best Destin brunch spots, but it’s worth the wait.

Café Destin

Reliable and quick service with an affordable, expansive menu.

This is hands-down our most frequent brunch stop. Cafe Destin checks all the boxes: fast service, great prices, and consistently high-quality food. The menu is surprisingly expansive for a casual cafe, and they serve some of my favorite coffee in town.

I keep coming back for their biscuit breakfast sandwich with bacon and the Bananas Foster French toast, which is pure indulgence. We also love the strawberry Nutella waffle when we’re craving something extra sweet. The chef seasons their breakfast potatoes wonderfully, adding the perfect touch to every entrée.

We often choose Cafe Destin for its relaxed vibe and quick service.

Scratch Biscuit Kitchen

Freshly-made biscuits with attentive service in a casual atmosphere.

If you’re heading out toward 30A or spending the morning in WaterColor, Scratch Biscuit Kitchen is the perfect brunch stop along the way.

This quaint cafe is known for its made-from-scratch biscuits (as the name implies) and cozy, Southern-style dishes. Located in the WaterColor Town Center, this family-friendly restaurant is our go-to restaurant for brunch when we’re heading out to 30A.

We’ve always had friendly, attentive service here. While they shine at breakfast, they recently added dinner service—and let me tell you, their buttermilk chicken tenders are out of this world!

Crackings

Family-owned spot for Southern comfort food in a cozy setting.

Crackings is a staple for both locals and visitors. It’s family-owned, and you can feel the warmth as soon as you walk into their cozy restaurant. Their menu leans heavily into Southern comfort food, and their shrimp and grits have earned a bit of a local legend status.

If you’re looking for hearty, homestyle cooking that tastes like it’s straight from grandma’s kitchen, Crackings is the place. It’s always a hit with our out-of-town guests, especially first-time visitors to the South.

Bistrology

Trendy and Instagram-worthy eatery with an innovative menu.

Bistrology Nutella Latte in Destin, Florida

Bistrology is one of Destin’s newest and trendiest brunch additions. The eatery has an extensive menu with creative, innovative entrees that are just as beautiful as they are delicious.

The coffees are decked out with creative toppings, and every plate is made to impress, down to the last garnish. Their Nutella Latte is one of my favorites, and it’s served like a work of art. I also love their oversized croissants and crispy homestyle fries.

Just be warned: it’s a popular spot, especially with the Instagram crowd, so show up early if you want a table without a wait.
