If you’ve cruised with Royal Caribbean before, you’ve probably heard of Giovanni’s, but did you know there are two Giovanni’s restaurants in the Royal Caribbean fleet?
Over the years, Royal Caribbean has evolved its Italian dining offering, replacing the original Giovanni’s Table with a newer, more modern restaurant called Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen.
After dining at both, here’s a full breakdown of Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen vs Giovanni’s Table, including menus, pricing, and what to expect onboard.

A way to save money is to visit Giovanni’s for lunch instead of dinner. Lunch is always cheaper, and the menu is often very similar to what’s offered at dinner.

|---|---|
| Lunch: ~$20 (pre-cruise) or $25 (onboard) per person | Lunch: ~$20 (pre-cruise) or $25 (onboard) per person |

Which specialty restaurant is better?

Both restaurants offer excellent service and delicious food. It really comes down to a difference in ambiance and menu offerings – Giovanni’s Table is classic while Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen is trendy.
If your ship has Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen, I’d definitely recommend trying it. If Giovanni’s Table is the option onboard instead, it’s still a great choice for a relaxed Italian meal.
At the end of the day, you really can’t go wrong with either!
